Regular checkups include a thorough cleaning, polishing, and an oral exam by the doctor. During the oral exam, the doctor checks the health of your mouth, teeth, gums, cheeks, and tongue. At each visit, the doctor also checks old fillings and restorations because constant pressure from chewing, grinding, or clenching can cause them to wear away, chip, or crack. Your First Visit Your first visit to your DDA dentist, typically includes x-rays and a thorough oral exam. The exam and x-rays allow the doctor to view the structure of the jaw, the position of any teeth that have not yet erupted, malformed roots tooth decay, and any other oral pathology. We will also discuss your dental concerns and how we can best meet your dental needs. ![]() Consultation After the doctor has evaluated your records, we discuss your dental care options, any follow-up treatment with you in detail, including the cost for your particular case. Regular Appointments Regular checkup appointments typically take 30 to 60 minutes. Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately. |
Financial Our goal is to help all our patients receive the dentistry they want and need with financial arrangements that fits their budget. For this reason, we have worked hard to provide a variety of payment options to help you receive the dental care needed to enjoy a healthy and confident smile with respect to you budget. The following is our Financial Choices. Payment Options: Cash or Check: We are happy to offer a 5% discount for all uninsured treatment paid in full prior to or at time of treatment. Credit and Debit Cards: For your convenience, our office accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. Payment Plans: For those who desire a monthly payment plan, we offer this on approved credit. There are no application fees. We do ask that you make these arrangements prior to treatment with our financial coordinators. Dental Insurance We would be happy to file the insurance forms necessary to see that you receive the full benefits of your coverage: however; we cannot guarantee any estimated coverage. Since the insurance policy is an agreement between you and the insurance company, we ask that all patients be directly responsible for all charges. We ask for the estimated uninsured portion at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made prior to treatment. To avoid misunderstandings, it is best to learn exactly what your individual policy provides. Usual and Customary Fees Our practice is committed to providing the best treatment for our patients and we charge what is usual and customary for our area. You are responsible for payment regardless of any insurance company's arbitrary determination of usual and customary fees. Missed Appointments: Please help us serve you better and keep dental costs down, by keeping scheduled appointments. We reserve the right to charge for appointments cancelled or missed without 24 hours advanced notice. |
